HOW WE MET AND OUR STORY

Our Love
Story

It all began in the most unexpected way, sparking a journey we never could have imagined…

From the moment we met, we felt like something special was unfolding, and little did we know, this encounter would turn into a love story that would shape the rest of our lives.

You are my today and all of my tomorrows.

Now, here we are, ready to take the next step and begin our forever together

Samantha and Eric met on New Year’s Eve 2023, in Tulum, Mexico.

At the time, Samantha was on a girls’ trip from Nashville, and Eric was traveling from Scottsdale with friends. On New Years Eve at Playa Plapaya, Eric struck up a conversation with Samantha’s friend Amy (now her Maid of Honor!) about moving to Nashville and somehow that conversation led to an introduction to Samantha. The night was a blur, but they were attached like magnets the rest of the night.

The next morning, Samantha woke up to several texts from Eric—sunrise photos, sweet messages, and one question: When can I see you again?

Before the trip was over, they had their first official date. At the end of the date, Eric insisted on a romantic photo at a heart-shaped table overlooking Tulum-a photo that looked more like a honeymoon photo than a first date. That photo quickly made its way to his mom (with no context of course), his lawyer, his business partner and many friends. Samantha later learned that the night they met, Eric stumbled back to his group and announced, “I think I just fell in love.”

The following night, Eric met up with Samantha and her friends again. Before leaving Tulum, he surprised her with a boat at sunset for one final date, making it clear he intended to be very intentional with her after the vacation.

Over the next few months, they shared several adventures-Samantha visiting Scottsdale, pink Jeep tours through Sedona, wine in Napa, sushi in San Francisco, and meeting his business partner and best friend Austin in LA. They also shared countless FaceTime calls, flowers, and even dessert deliveries via Uber Eats. Eric made sure Samantha learned to ski and liked it, which he later admitted was non-negotiable.

After a few months, Eric, being the businessman that he is, gave Samantha a playful nudge and jokingly said it felt like she was deciding whether to marry him, not just date him, which, admittedly, was true. Eric told her, “Time kills all deals.” Eric can be stubborn, but so can Samantha, and once she was all in, there was no turning back. Shortly after, Samantha suggestion they simply move in together to “save on taxes” which for Eric, sealed the deal.

A few months later, they had the joy of meeting each other’s families and immediately felt at home. Coming from close-knit families. where parents are deeply involved, siblings are competitive yet supportive, and love runs deep, it was clear they were not only choosing each other, but they were choosing each other’s families as well.

Six months in, they took an unforgettable trip through Europe. Samantha met Eric’s childhood friends and family, all of whom adored him, and Samantha saw how humble, kind, and grounded he truly is. On their last night in Paris, overlooking the Eiffel Tower, Eric told Samantha he loved her for the first time, and big shocker, she cried. The next morning, they stumbled upon a pianist named Aidan playing by the Eiffel Tower, which was the most romantic end to their trip.

Two years later, on June 28, 2025, that same magic found them in the lavender fields of Domaine Demol in Provence. Eric knelt, told Samantha she was the love of his life, and asked her to spend forever with him. Determined and romantic, Eric had tracked down Aidan, orchestrated his travel across France, and ensured he was there to play once more, transforming the proposal into a full circle moment. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, including having their parents present for the surprise.

Throughout their relationship Samantha and Eric have shared countless adventures: Factor family ski trips, Eric discovering a love for the Garisto Christmas, conquering many ski hills, moving houses and cities, and bonding over their perfect dog, Mia. Each experience has brought them closer.  They continue to build a life full of laughter, adventure, love, and countless memories.

Samantha and Eric cannot wait to spend forever together!  Casa de Campo is only the beginning. 🤍
